From October 15 to 18, 2026, Palacio de Santa Bárbara once again becomes a space devoted to art, design and collecting.
ART IN PLACE steps away from the traditional fair format: works are not isolated in booths but placed within domestic settings, as if they were part of a collector's home. Painting, sculpture, photography, furniture and ceramics share the same space, blurring the lines between art, design, interiors and collecting.
This edition focuses on contemporary craft and its growing dialogue with today's art: ceramics, textile, glass and wood as common ground between tradition and innovation, craftsmanship and experimentation, material and concept.

In a context dominated by industrial production and mass reproduction, recovering the manual side of creation means standing up for the time, knowledge and uniqueness behind every piece.

The third edition of the fair takes place from October 15 to 18 at Palacio de Santa Bárbara in Madrid, bringing together artists, designers and makers in a space conceived as a collector's home.
ART IN PLACE puts contemporary craft in the spotlight, highlighting manual processes, trades and experimentation with materials as fundamental elements of today's creative practice.
A space where tradition and innovation, craftsmanship and experimentation, material and concept meet.

ART IN PLACE 2025 turned Palacio de Santa Bárbara into a collector's home. Paper unfolded as a sculptural material and graphic support in dialogue with design, interiors and functional objects.
From October 2 to 5, 2025, ART IN PLACE returns to the heart of Madrid with an experience that fuses art, design, and interiors. The fair activates six palace salons with sculptures, paintings, photographs, collages, ceramics, textiles, and furniture that showcase the contemporary power of paper.
The event consolidates itself as a meeting point for artists, designers, gallerists, collectors, and art lovers seeking fresh perspectives in a real environment. Installations invite visitors to live with art on a domestic scale, connecting with editorial and lifestyle trends.
“The fair turns every room into a habitable space where paper, design pieces, and interiors converse in an enveloping atmosphere,” highlights the curatorial team.

ART IN PLACE is an initiative by Art Fairs, Too Many Friends and Aluz. Art Fairs runs JUSTMAD (18th edition in 2027), SUMMA, SUMMA Mallorca (3rd edition in 2027), MADRIDFOTO and JUSTLX, and in November 2026 holds the first edition of JUSTQRO in Querétaro (Mexico).
